"EM" stands for effective microorganisms, which are baked into the ceramic. This changes the environment around the dog, making the dog less attractive to ticks.
Cleaning:
Clean the EM ceramic beads with clear water when heavily soiled so that they can fully unfold their effect again. 100% tick protection cannot be guaranteed.
